More of a collectors' item Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
I have The Boys album too so writing a review for this Mr. Taxi repackage is pretty much writing a review for The Boys too. It's hard to beat the tin packaging of the original The Boys album but 12 postcards (3 of which are not pictures of the girls but track lyrics and credits) and another of those super adorable photocards never fails to make a fanboy squeal in happiness :D

The CD is on the right side of the album while the postcards and photocard are crammed into a pocket of just the right size on the left side and is terribly hard to remove. Horrible design by SM, comon, you can do better than this. There is wrinkling on the top and bottom part where the album opens out too (seems to be common with shipped goods, it happened to my Baby Baby album too, bad wrinkling of the edges of the album).

Once again, the names of the tracks are completely wrong. Quite a few of the albums are like this but rest assured that the songs are correct and in order, just wrong names.

Now, onto the actual songs. A 'collection of songs' is a more appropriate name for this CD than an actual 'album'. This has to be the most random collection of songs SM has ever put together in one SNSD album and quite frankly, that's a disappointment for me. Don't get me wrong, the songs here are decent, but you'd have a hard time trying to figure out where the tracks are leading you because right off the bat, you are tossed into the ultra high energy track that is Telepathy after feeling the heat of The Boys and Mr. Taxi. It just gets even more messy from then on. Mr. Taxi/The Boys, being SNSD's trademark dance tracks, are both great songs to open to an album but ending it with VITAMIN/The Boys(English ver.)? I can't make out where is that supposed to lead me, honestly. Everything in between just leaves me scratching my head after listening to the whole album in earnest.

The mix of songs are too random, leaving the impression that there is no sense of pace in the album. I only gave this a 6 because I can't give it a 5. Aside from the title track(s), it doesn't look like SM put much thought or effort into this album at all. Some of the songs would be much better served with the Run Devil Run album, ala OSCAR and TRICK, Top Secret sounds like a remake of Hoot and Say Yes/Telepathy would have been a smash hit in their Kissing You days. In my humble opinion, the original The Boys album is a much better buy, if only for its superb packaging.

OK so I also purchased this version and it's also very nice.

Basically just the same songs, plus 'The Boys (English Ver.)'. So I'll just go right to the packaging. The time the postcards feature the girls all dressed up in sexy black leather outfits, looking more like sexy policewomen than girl drivers to be honest :p. I love the light, natural yet sexy makeup and the killer leather boots. They're just beautiful.

Each postcard is colored double side photos, one side closes up on the girls' faces and the other side is a full-body shot. The girls were all too beautiful that it's hard to tell which one is the prettiest, and I love how they showed each girl's own charms and beauty marks :).

The poster was also very big and nice and I got Tiffany special photocard :). This is a highly recommended for S♥NEs, especially if you prefer the Mr. Taxi concept.
