As they have done annually since 2008, ultra-popular idol group AKB48 is kicking off their 2012 with a cheerful "sakura song"! In addition to being a celebratory song for this year's spring graduation season, GIVE ME FIVE! is also the theme song for a real estate agency and a telecommuncations firm's respective advertising campaigns. Following in the footsteps of Ninagawa Mika, Kore-eda Hirokazu and Tsutsumi Yukihiko, director Sugida Shigemichi (Saigo no Chushingura) directs the GIVE ME FIVE! music video.
This edition includes Hitsujikai no Tabi by Special Girls B as the second B-side track. It comes with a bonus DVD containing the music videos for all three songs on the single, part two of the making of the GIVE ME FIVE! music video and the Utsukushii Overture & encore seminar.

First AKB48 CD and love it

This is the first AKB48 CD I have purchased. What caught my attention with this CD was the big band sound of "Give Me Five". I really like the upbeat sound of it. The CD came with a photo of the full group 'Baby Blossom' and an individual group member photo. I always love fun extras t like that! The inclusion of the music videos is also a plus. If AKB48's previous singles are this good I will definately be getting more. |
