Based on Morimoto Kozueko's manga, NTV's hit drama Gokusen about a zealous teacher hailing from a yakuza family and her hilarious efforts reforming her delinquent students had quite a run on the small screen from 2002 to 2009. The franchise not only spawned three top-rated seasons, it also proved to be a surefire star-making vehicle for the young actors who make up Class 3D. After headlining three seasons and three TV specials, leading actress Nakama Yukie takes her famed character Yamaguchi "Yankumi" Kumiko, tracksuit and all, to the big screen for Gokusen's final blockbuster bow.

Directed by Sato Toya who helmed all three seasons of Gokusen, Gokusen the Movie continues from the 2008 season and 2009 TV special, with Miura Haruma, Hey! Say! JUMP's Takaki Yuya, Miura Shohei, Ishiguru Hideo, and Johnny's Juniors Nakama Junta, Kiriyama Akito, and Tamamori Yuta returning as the fist-happy delinquents. Making his silver-screen debut, Kamenashi Kazuya of KAT-TUN reprises his breakout role from the 2005 season of Gokusen, Odagiri Ryu, now returning four years later as a teacher-in-training. Kamenashi isn't the only legendary 3D student back for the movie. Other Gokusen graduates like Oguri Shun, Koike Teppei, Hayami Mocomichi, Koide Keisuke, and Narimiya Hiroki also make cameo appearances helping to write a perfect, star-studded conclusion to seven years of Gokusen.

This edition comes with a bonus disc containing making of, interviews, and other special features.

森本梢子の同名人気コミックをベースに、2002年4月から日本テレビ系列で放送された痛快学園ドラマ「ごくせん」。三代続く任侠一家の出身ながらも女教師となったヒロインを軸に、彼女が担任となって指導する問題児たちとの交流を熱くコミカルに描き、高視聴率をマークした。主演の仲間由紀恵のみならず、生徒役として松本潤や小栗旬、成宮寛貴、亀梨和也、赤西仁、小池徹平などが出演し、キャスティングの豪華さでも話題になった。
本作は、2009年に公開された劇場版。玉森裕太をはじめとする新たな3年D組の生徒たちとヤンクミのみならず、第3シリーズの卒業生たちにも大事件が勃発。また、亀梨和也演じる第2シリーズの卒業生が、教育実習生として登場するなど、第1シリーズ＆第2シリーズの伝説の卒業生たちもスクリーンに大集結している。
2枚組でリリースされる本作には、特典としてメイキングやインタビューなどが収められた特典ディスクが封入されている。

ヤンクミこと山口久美子が高校教師になって、はや7年。1年前から赴任している赤銅学院高校では、新しい3年D組の担任になっているが、生徒たちはまだ久美子に心を開いてはいなかった。そんなある日、久美子の黒銀学院時代の教え子・小田切竜が、赤銅学院に教育実習生としてやって来た。久美子は小田切の訪れを心から喜ぶが、高杉怜太に恨みを持つ暴走族が、バイクで赤銅学院に乗り込んできて…。
