We have lost a great artist
| I didn't know who was ZARD until her tragic death. I regret of discovering Izumi Sakai only after her passing away, fortunately there is still her music to keep her memory alive forever. It's a really nice best album, the singles she has released in her long carrer are so many that this collection with 2 CDs is not able to contain all of them, there are only her best ones. The sound is very 90s but I enjoyed every single track and I think that songs like ''Makenaide'' and ''Sayonara wa Ima mo Kono Mune ni Imasu'' are really masterpieces of the j-pop history. |

| I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn that the lovely Sakai Izumi passed away in unusual circumstances last month after she had spent many months battling cancer. For me, Sakai-san's sweet voice and Zard's signature "power pop" sound helped to define the 1990s. Indeed, Zard's albums "Forever You" (from 1995) and "Today is Another Day" (from 1996) remain two of my all-time favorites. This "Golden Best" collection provides a thorough compilation of Zard's hits and a fitting memorial to Sakai-san's enduring artistic achievement. Zard will not be forgotten. |

Excellent !!!!

My copy just arrived yesterday and I just have to say, its awesome!!, each particular song in this 2 CD edition is great. It also contains a booklet in japanese with a brief description of Zards history from 1991 to 2006 with comments from Izumi herself, if you can read Japanese you will really apreciate it. Definitely an excellent buy, the only thing I didn't liked much was the DVD bonus, as it's only a TV commercial compilation of the singles and albums (18 CMs of 10 seconds each), NO Videoclips on it. |
