因阿郎好勝心強，但桂子卻對他反應冷淡。他經常纏繞桂子，誓要令她對自己產生傾慕，但可惜事如願違。直至一天阿郎在街上與其鬼混過的舞女爭執，阿郎表現出奇，男子氣慨表露無遺，自此桂子便對阿郎暗生好感，其後更與阿郎互相愛戀。
桂子為了能與阿郎共同生活，毅然與阿郎離開樂隊，遠赴他方，可惜阿郎生性難改，不甘心於安穩規律的生活，與其友伴終日以賽車來博取金錢。阿郎卻料不到他的結果境是……。

a good man, a good film
| This is a kind and gentle ganster film, very surprising. Maybe totally unrealistic, but it moves you slowly towards the changes. Sean Lau and Ruby Wong are excellent and believeable. The ending is almost worth the whole film. |
