Good on Jackie for trying a different role. He made this movie after Rush Hour and you just can't stop wishing and hoping that all fairy tale love stories end like this. Don't all girls wish they are in Shu Qi's shoes where she can have her cake and eat it too. Tony Leung was fabulous as the gay makeup artist and his dialogue with Shu Qi and the scene at Jackie's apartment was side-splitting. Love Jackie's hot bod even at 52. By the way, the dolphins are real not cgi as mentioned. They won an award for their theme song and I couldn't get it out of my head weeks after. |

It's a Shu Qi's film. not Jackie Chan's.
Had to adjust the expectation while watching it. Still don't think Jackie Chan is suit for the role as a rich and classy guy, and in a romantic relationship. Rather, I enjoyed watch Shu Qi's performance, and the guest appearance of many other stars. A quite boring movie, nothing would make you feel excited, even the fight scenes. But you'll enjoy it somehow if you can concentrate on Shu Qi. |

BE HAPPY !
This movie reminded me of why I always try to remind myself to smile. You are stronger within yourself when you are happy. It was a movie about following what your instincts tell you to do, then about allowing youself to follow them. Mr Chan a business man is forgetting the enjoyment of life and Bu is young and still looking at everything as being full of joy and excitement. She can see that Mr chan still has this in him and so the love story of two lost soles joining begins. Damn brilliant story I loved it. Good to see Jackie being the suave sexy guy that I love seeing/hearing him be,that involves mostly written acting, rather than seeing him be his agile self. I love listening to his voice..... |

Warm & Gooey...
An unconventional story-line for Jackie which is light-hearted, romantic and has just a touch of action. The pairing of Jackie with young, bubbly and fresh-faced Shu Qi works astonishingly well. Admittedly, an unrealistic fairytale, but how many have a hilarious Tong Leung playing a very camp gay? Emil's contribution to the film added further humour without going over the top. All in all, an amusing film, not a typical laugh-out-loud Jackie Chan movie, but sweet enough to make you smile and feel warm and gooey inside. Worth a watch! Definately a film to pull out when the weather is cold wet & rainy! |

only for tony and emil
this is yet another typical love story where guy meets girl, falls in love, happy ending. its only salvation is tony leung and emil chau. playing a supporting role instead of his usual lead role, tony leung is hilarious as a gay character. he shines as a highly strung, easily flustered, hair/make-up personnal, and steals the show from the 2 leading actors. tony leung is indeed one of HK's rare actors who can switch roles with the snap of a finger, be it as a brooding swordsman, a troubled cop, or a likeable fengshui master. emil chau is also hilarius as the pompous, yet endearing baddie, who turns out to be not quite a baddie after all. this show would probably be another forgettable B-grade movie, but these 2 particular supporting actors fortunately makes it more memorable than it should be. |

The Glass Bottle (Gorgeous)
Do not expect this one to be a normal Jackie Chan action movie. It does, however, carry a fairy tale like beginning and a happy ending. The casts are great. The action part, although not as intense as the other moives Jackie starred in, is fully complimented and balanced by the playful and romantic scenes with the beautiful lead actress, Shu Qi (Hsu Chi). Gorgeous, indeed! The movie carries a very health message: If one desires to win, one needs to win fair and square. No back stabbing, or dirty tricks are allowed. Overall, it is a movie worth watching and keeping. |

Gorgeous!
This DVD is very well presented. It even has some extras (ie. "The Making of ...") with English subtitles!! I loved this movie! I am pleased Jackie has "dared" to try something different. He has a very serious role. The film is a romance (with a happy ending!) One for the ladies to enjoy. Even though not made as a martial arts film Jackie's few fight scenes with Brad Allan are breathtaking - choreographed brilliantly. Ignore any disgruntled critics disappointed at the lack of action and stunts. Tony Leung is excellent as the gay friend of the female lead - very funny. Excellent buy. |
