A good single, but not her best...

I was excited about this single! It's really good that there are lots of songs on it! But I think that it's a bit boring to sing one song in two versions, but both of them are good. I hope that Got To Be Real will be included on her next album, but I don't think so! Here's my rating for the songs: 1. Lollipop: 10/10 2. Inside Fishbowl: 8/10 3. Outside Fishbowl: 8/10 4. For You: 8/10 5. Got To Be Real: 10/10 6. Lollipop (PV): 9,5/10 7. Inside Fishbowl (PV): 8,5/10 8. Outside Fishbowl (PV): 8,5/10 It's a good buy, but I would wait for the album. |

This has to be one of the best summer albums Koochan's released since 4 hot wave! The tracks are just so much fan and the music videos are adorable!! 1. Lollipop isn't what you would think judging by the title. I expected something extremely poppy, so imagine my surprise when it ended up being a very R&B/Pop song. This song is addicting and honestly sounds like it just came from her 4 hot wave single. The music video even looks like it would have been filmed while she was in Morocco. Hot song for summer, right? 2. Inside Fishbowl is a very upbeat song. There's a lot going on in the song, so for those fans that have been with Koda Kumi since her beginning years will be surprised. I can honestly say that this doesn't sound like anything Koochan's done befoe - but it works! The PV is also unique, whereas the video is very grunge. The dance is adorable. I want every outfit she wore. 3. Outside Fishbowl has the same melody, but lower-pitched. One thing I just found adorable was, in both songs, any time she says 'fishbowl', she end up saying 'fishbool'. X3 The PV for this is very dark and will remind you of two videos (if you've been a Kuu-fan for a while): TABOO and Ningyo-Hime. I got a few Shake It Up vibes, too. 4. For you is the ballad for the album and does sound like something from her affection album (which had some of the best Koda Kumi ballads). It's not a power ballad (but those are usually reserved for her A-side ballads, anyway). It's a nice song to come after the three hardcore, upbeat songs. 5. Got To Be Real is a cover of 1970s disco song from Cheryl Lynn. Kuu did an AMAZING job at covering this song; and I'm not being biased. It takes a lot for me to like a remake of a song, and she nailed it. It was funny when she performed this during UNIVERSE Tour. Being a fan of the original, not many people knew the lyrics to the song. I was one of the few. X3 DEFINATELY buy this single! It's so worth it! It's one of my favourites! Right there with FREAKY and 4 hot wave! |
