Interesting Blend... Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10

When I first played this CD, I was worried. The first two tracks are NOT good. The music for them is just ODD and the singer is weak. But, then comes the surprise! The next 3 tracks are ballads that are outstanding. Then comes the next two up-tempo songs that are a bit lacking, although better than tracks 1 and 2. Track 8 is the absolute worst on the CD because it is disco and feels like 1970 instead of 2003. I really don't like that track one bit. However, Shino finishes off the CD with three more amazing ballads. So, what this tells me...is she is a ballad singer and should stick to them. Her ballads are heartfelt and passionate and her voice is very powerful and perfect for them. When she tries to do different things...she falls distinctly short. So, this CD was a toss-up for me. I adore the ballads, but the other tracks I skip everytime. All in all, not bad, but not a "10" either. She needs serious refining and perhaps some re-direction in style as well.
