１８５８年、スコットランドのエディンバラ。貧困地区に母親と暮らす少年ユアンは、警察官ジョン・グレイの忠犬ボビーと大の仲良し。つつましくも幸せな日々だった。だが、そんな彼らの生活が一変する。ジョンの急死で飼い主を失ってしまったボビー。そして老朽化のため崩壊した家の瓦礫の下敷きとなって母親が死に、孤児となってしまったユアン。ボビーは主人ジョンの眠る墓から動こうとはしなかった。ユアンや市民たちはそんなボビーの姿から勇気をもらうのだった。一方、街では、教会と敵対する資本家で紡績工場の経営者スシミーは、労働者の人気を集めるボビーを疎ましく思い、嫌がらせを始めていた。登録犬制度が施行され始めたことに目をつけたスシミーはボビーを野良犬として捕獲し、そのまま処分されてしまうように仕向けてゆく。裁判までにボビーの飼い主が不在のままだと、野良犬として処分されてしまうのだ。母を亡くしたユアンも、孤児院の過酷な生活に耐える日々だった。窮地に追い込まれてゆくボビーとユアン。だけど、もう負けない。逞しく、強く、勇気を出して立ち向かってゆく。そう、奇跡を信じて・・・・！ 予告編
