보스턴의 버클리음대(Berklee College of Music) 와 뉴욕 파이브 타운스 컬리지(Five Towns College)대학원에서 학사와 석사를 마치고 돌아온 두 사람은 유학 생활 동안의 다양한 음악적 배움과 활동을 기반으로 라틴, 퓨전, 펑크, 발라드 등의 다양한 스타일의 모던한 재즈를 추구하고 있다.
Green Shade의 첫 앨범 "For Fruition"은 유학 시절을 함께한 재즈 기타리스트 김정식과 콘트라 베이스에 송미호, 일렉 베이스에 정혜란이 함께 했고 퍼커셔니스트 조재범이 음악에 풍성함을 더 해주었다. Green Shade는 그 이름의 의미처럼 푸른 나무의 그늘이 주는 쉼과 같은 편안하고 다양한 색깔의 재즈 음악을 그들만의 감성으로 보여준다.
