　讓中老年重溫過去，讓青少年了解歷史。長春電影製片廠1949年攝製。

　　全國解放前夕，發電廠遭到蔣匪軍的瘋狂破壞，老工人周明英也因此失業。解放後，周明英響應號召，群策群力修好發電機，後被美蔣特務破壞。在廠長的支援下，周明英和趙股長，方師傅積極想辦法，最後終於在規定的時間內共同修好了發電機，保證了全城的電力供應，周師傅也光榮地加入了中國共產黨。
