Acclaimed new-wave director Kirk Wong and Hong Kong mega-producer Tsui Hark team up for Gunmen, a hard-nosed action drama set in turbulent 1930s Shanghai. Four friends fight together during the 1935 civil war in China. They go separate ways afterwards. Two years later, Ding becomes a member of the Shanghai Police Force and is assigned to clean up the drug trafficking. Then he invites the others to join the assignment. A series of capture and slaughter begins......
