Tsai Chin In Concert Hong Kong 2007 (2CD)
August 10, 2008 Gonna have to buy itI saw the same act in Reno nevada 2007 for Chinese New Year, shortly after her show in H.K. Though she sang well, she wasn't up to her usual standard of nothing less than perfect. I'm guessing she was not used to the stage. Next time I saw the show in Flint Center in Cupertino, her performance was flawless. Tsai Chin has played Flint Center many times for the Chinese American Cancer Society. Her tribute to past singers starting with 李香蘭, Li Xianlan AKA Shirley Yamaguchi's 3 Years, then others whose songs I knew, but whose names I didn't know. I found her tribute songs to Teresa Teng and Anita Mui suit her well, and am hoping to hear her sing more of them. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

August 18, 2006 Pretty good albumExcept for Wang Bu Liao Qing which Tao Zhe butchers, it's a great album. Compared to his excellent work with Yue Liang Dai Biao Wode Xin, and Ye Lai Xiang, Wang Bu Liao is disappointing. The collaboration with Jolin Tsai on Marry Me was very good. I was surprised with the Country Western melody instead of their usual R & B melodic songs. If you are a David Tao fan, buy it. Remember to be nice after making your music MP3 friendly: DON'T SHARE! Davy and Epic need to make a profit if the music is to continue Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
The Sweetest Collection Of My Dearest Teresa Teng - Teresa Seven
March 15, 2006 Several new English releases on CDBeen a fan of Teresa Teng for many years and am happy to have another English jewel. Begin the Beguine", a song whose melody she also sang in Chinese, touched my heart like many of my Chinese favorites. "Begin the Beguine" is the best song on the CD, followed by "Never BeenTo Me". It is too bad they did not enhance the LIVE performances in Tokyo and HK. Sound quality could be better. Not as good has "The Way We Were", her other all English CD, but there are several good English offerings not usually presented Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

(1)Our Price: US$15.29List: US$16.99Save: US$1.70 (10%)September 18, 2005 Not even in Traditional CharactersThe book isn't even in traditional characters! Unless the author is a big time fan and journalist who had regular access to H.K. I don't see how he could have a real understanding of Yan-Fang, her life, her compassion, and the fanfare that surrounded her. If it were in traditional characters from a H.K er and much shorter might consider buying it (My Chinese isn't that good, and is worse with simplified characters). What I'd really like is new Mandarin or English CDs! Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
December 17, 2003 Like CoCo Lee would say "Listen to your Ma " Buy i
In this case it must be Marla ( Thought I know I am at least 10 years older than her!) My new Wu Bai CD was shipped 3 days ago should be getting arriving tomorrow. Every time I order a Wu Bai CD and rip a copy for my Taiwanese wife, her older sister swipes it! From now I'll make them both a copy after loading it in my MP3 player and making an MP3 CD for my truck. Gona order the newest Daivd Tao double CD next! If it is anything like the last, it will also be money well spent. Hey Marla, Perhaps China Blue is more like Lead Zeplan than the Stones. (Compare composition of Stairway to Heaven to Love you for Ten Thousand Years) Regardless, its got to be a great NEW version of clasic Rock with Chinese Characteristics!

June 9, 2002 David Tao's (New Kids on the Block)
A savy singer, songwriter, and producer, Dave thinks he can get a group of talented kids and do what Maurice Star did 10 years ago with New Kids on the Block in Asia. He's right! He can also sell it to those who liked that style of music who listened to it in the 60s and 90s who speak Mandarin. Dave's kids do a crediable job and are worth the price of the CD -- If you can find it Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
February 4, 2002 Most Precious Gift
Tsai Chin wants to bring you a piece of the best, most beautiful gift, from heaven sent. A priceless treasure! Her magicical wish in song.(From the last song a Gift from Heaven) This has to be the BEST album she has ever done! I like Chris and friends, and Continue was good, still "Rushed Heart" is the pinnicle of her work. Tsai Ching is the Barbara Streisand of popular female Chinese singers. November 29, 2001 Great album, one of Cai Qin's best efforts!
Recently purchased Chris & Friends and it was a good choice. I've liked Cai Qin for about 10 years and think this album is one of her best. Cai Qin and Classic Jazz have always seemed to go together and this album is the latest proof. Boss Lady (Da Nyu Ren) and her most recent version of Unforgetable (Wang Bu Liao) are excellent examples. Cai Qin's sensual voice appears to improve with age like a good brandy! If you like Cai Qin, this CD is a must buy. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
June 6, 2001 Unforgetable! It's Teresa Teng
Other reviewers were correct in saying Inoubliable isn't Teresa's best work, but it is still a great album. Wang Bu Liao (Unforgetable) almost reduced me to tears. The Latin beat on several of the English songs was unique, but only worked well on "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes". The other English songs though not the caliber of her rendition of "Love Story" were credibly done. "Thoughts by the Window" has a haunting child like innocence much different than Cai Qin, but well done. The only question I have is the French name. Why not Unforgetable?
