Product Information
津軽海峡のマグロ1本釣りは、毎年6月中旬から9月までが勝負だった。マグロ漁師の小浜房次郎は、明け方まで餌のイカを取って帰り、仮眠の後、再び沖に出る毎日を送っていた。そんなある日、娘のトキ子が結婚相手となる男を連れて帰ってきた。男の名は俊一、町で喫茶店を営んでいるという。だが養子に入り、房次郎の後を継ぐとのことだった。マグロ漁に命を賭けてきた房次郎は、マグロ漁を甘く見られたような気がして面白くなかった。だが娘にまで見捨てられては困ると、見習いとして俊一を船に乗せるようになった。だが、運悪く、漁獲の途中に事故が起きてしまい…。
