In 2005, ex-porn star Ha You Sun made her debut with her first single Born Again 0.5 and caused an instant frenzy with the media which focused more on her past and less on her music. She disappeared completely from the spotlight afterwards. Two years later, she sheds her sexy look for a more natural style, and returns with a second single, Ha You Sun 2nd Single - 1234Ever . Out of twenty songs written by Korean and Japanese producers, she personally handpicked three songs that fit her newly cultivated image. Title track 1234Ever (Track 1) bears an uplifting, electronic rhythm which does its job revamping her old image. Another cheerful dance track, "Spark" (Track 3) captures the hit song formula with its catchy chorus and funky dance rhythms. In "Today's Sorrow..." (Track 2), Ha You Sun makes her first attempt at singing a ballad. The song bears an autobiographical imprint with verses like "Today I'm sad...but I shall overcome my sorrow"; it reflects on her personal struggles in trying to break through the walls of negative stereotypes. Perhaps with Ha You Sun 2nd Single - 1234Ever , those walls will start crashing down.

1234Ever - Ha You Sun
| I would definitly get this single. I heard about her past only after I heard this single but hearing about her past didn't change my mind from liking it. 1234Ever is a fun song to listen too. & I love the title :). Today... I'm Sad is a nice pop ballad. and Spark is another good song. I recommend this to all. |

Excellent Single!

Who knew that Ha U-Sun would continue on with a musical career? Honestly, I was fairly surprised myself. Not to say that her first single was a total disaster (I actually loved it!), but the response was more of her scandalous past rather than her music. Nonetheless, I was very excited upon hearing about her second effort. "1.2.3.4ever" is a very catchy and cheerful track which is a complete reversal of her first single's title track, "Question". The track is fresh and is just a joy to listen to. Apart from all the criticisms, she has a very sweet voice and can definitely hold her own. "Oneul..Seulpeum" is an off-beat track that reveals more of U-Sun's sexy and husky vocals - a good pre=cursor to "Spark". The last track has the makings of an awesome dance song. Very dancy...I can already see everyone grinding in the Korean clubs to this beat. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with Ha U-Sun's second effort. The tracks are strong, the packaging is nice, and it is indeed worth the $10 that YesAsia'll charge you. |
