Hajime no Ippo Revolution (Japan Version) Wii

From the developers at AQ Interactive comes Fighting Spirit Revolution, a sports fighting game for Nintendo's popular Wii console that takes boxing games to the next level! Also known by the title Victorious Boxers, this is the fourth video game based on the popular manga and anime Hajime no Ippo. In this latest game adaptation of the long-running boxing saga, players can once again step in the ring as the series' protagonist, featherweight champion Ippo Makanouchi, a young bruiser who's mastered the Peek-A-Boo-style boxing technique once practiced by real-life heavyweights like Mike Tyson.

Since previous installments were released on the PlayStation 2, this sequel is the first game to take full advantage of the Wii's unique gameplay capabilities, allowing players to accurately mimic real-life boxing moves from the comfort of their own living rooms. With the Wii Remote in one hand, and the nunchuck control in the other, players can physically punch the air, causing their onscreen character to do the same move in the game. In addition to trying to land uppercuts, jabs, and serious body blows, gamers will also have to play a little defense as well, ducking and blocking whatever crushing blows their opponent throws at them. Besides Ippo, other characters confirmed for Fighting Spririt Revolution include Ichiro Miyata, Mamoru Takamura, Tatsuya Kimura, Aoki Masaru, Ryo Mashiba, and Ryuhei Sawamura. Thanks to the unique, intuitive controls of the Wii console, Fighting Spirit Revolution is sure to be a real knockout among fans!
