a cappella goodness!

One of the premier a cappella groups in Japan, Rag Fair promotes good music unaltered by instruments, and instead uses the voice as the medium for instrumentation. In this new single, the kings of indistinguishable has again made a roster of pseudo-sounds to delight listeners everywhere. Hallelujah is a fast song judging from the opening garble, and slowly develops into a group endeavor later on. The syncopation is perfect and the voices don't overlap. Hanjuku Rhapsody on the other hand, my personal favorite is reminiscent of older shoo-i-doo-wap types of a cappella famous in the 1950s, and this one won't fail you too with its fast beats and in-between bass. My only complaint in the album is why they only placed 2 songs- this group obviously has more talent than most commercial JPOP groups! But, buy this album and make all the difference! |
