Halo Legends is a collection of seven animated shorts based on the popular sci-fi video game franchise Halo. The anthology unites the joint efforts of animation house giants Bones, Casio, Production I.G., Studio 4C, and Toei under the direction of Aramaki Shinji (Appleseed), who serves as the creative director.

The seven episodes of Halo Legends are all set in the 26th century of the Halo universe. Directed by Futamura Hideki Studio 4C's two-part "Origins" reveals backstory about the Forerunners and invasion of the Flood. Directed by Yamazaki Hiroshi and supervised by Oshii Mamoru, Production I.G's "The Duel" follows a rebel Arbiter who won't abide by Covenant religion. Also from Production I.G, "Homecoming" directed by Mashimo Koichi and Sawai Koji is about the origins and tragedies of the SPARTAN-II Program. Directed by Nishio Daisuke, Toei Animation's Odd One Out is a Halo parody. Directed by Kyoda Tomoki and Muraki Yasushi with production designs by Aramaki, Studio Bones' "Prototype" is about a Marine tasked to destroy a propotype armor suit on a distant planet, but he discovers the suit is crucial to the surival of the planet's human inhabitants. Directed by Kanno Toshiyuki, Studio 4C's "The Babysitter" revolves around a Helljumpers squad of four sent into a Covenant to take out a Prophet. Casio Entertainment's "The Package" lays out a dangerous Spartan mission to retrieve an important package from a Covenant ship.
