I love Han Hee Jeong with absolution. But my bias aside, this is a wonderful album. The music is a warm, gentle embrace. Charmingly, she even plays around a little with vibrato here. There is something very honest about her songs, as if she is trying to disclose herself to you, the listener. A touching acoustic album. I also liked the fact that Kim Jong Wan of Nell joins her on 멜로디로 남아. The mixing of their vocals is lovely. Sweet, simple and sincer, these 7 tracks paint a world around you (especially when listened to on a rainy spring day). Packaging is a standard jewel case. |

I first heard a preview of Han Hee Jung's voice while watching a korean tv show (Track 4) and I immediately looked up the lyrics and found the artist. This is one amazing indie artist. Similar to artists such as Belle Epoque and Donnawhale, her voice has this soft, melodic, yet soulful quality and I would love to play these songs for my kid if I ever have children. Her music is perfect for putting babies to sleep. The songs give you the feeling of floating on a cloud on a clear day. Vocals, acoustics and natural sounds are the perfect formula for soothing the heart and she's done it perfectly. My favorite track is her duet with NELL's lead singer Kim Jong Wan. It is simply gorgeous. It starts off with nothing but soft voices and later his voices joins and becomes a melody. The only instrument worked in is an acoustic guitar which makes the very song feel like an acoustic Breath. My only complaint is that the songs are slightly short, as if each song is a small preview or jingle instead of a full song... But maybe that's the charm of this artist. Each track ends a bit quickly and leaves you wanting more. I highly recommend this album for K-Indie fans. This album is like a breath of fresh air... |
