Kamio Yoko's romance manga series Hana Yori Dango, a.k.a. Boys Over Flowers, has made it to screens in various incarnations since the mid-90s, most notably as a long-running anime series and as the popular Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden. In 2005, TBS adapted the comic for television once more, and hit ratings gold. Produced by Setoguchi Katsuaki (Good Luck!!), the series featured a fresh young cast led by Arashi's Matsumoto Jun and rising star Inoue Mao. Hana Yori Dango was so popular, the cast returned for a highly anticipated sequel in 2007, with the viewership ratings surpassing that of the first season. Hana Yori Dango ended with Matsumoto's Domyoji Tsukasa leaving for New York, and this second season picks up the story one year later.

Since Domyoji Tsukasa (Matsumoto Jun) went to New York to study, Makino Tsukushi (Inoue Mao) hasn't had the chance to speak to him. After a year apart, Tsukushi, along with the other three members of F4 - Hanazawa Rui (Oguri Shun), Mimasaka Akira (Abe Tsuyoshi), and Nishikado Sojiro (Matsuda Shota) - travels to the States to visit Tsukasa, only to find that he has completely changed. Everyone soon returns to Japan, where more surprises and romantic confusions await with the announcement that Tsukasa will be marrying his fiancee Shigeru (Natsuki Kato).

牧野杉菜（井上真央飾）如今是英德學園的高校三年生。自從風靡學園的花澤類（小栗旬飾）、西門總二郎（松田翔太飾）、美作玲（阿部力飾）畢業之後，對杉菜來說學校變成了沉悶的地方。而且和一年前互訴傾慕之意的道明寺司（松本潤飾）到紐約留學,雖然最初有保持聯絡，但最近半年已全無音訊。某天，和青梅竹馬的松岡優紀（西原亞希飾）一同參加了中學的舊生會，遇上了同級同學的表弟，也是就讀英德的後輩織部順平（生田斗真飾），但惡夢亦同時開始了‥！照理自從道明寺司離開後便不應再出現的紅牌竟被貼在杉菜的儲物櫃。聽到說這是道明寺司所下的直接命令之後，杉菜為了知道他的心意，決定向紐約出發。

Makino Tsukushi (Inoue Mao) is a senior student at Eitoku Academy now! Since those top idols of the school. Hanazawa Rui (Ogun Shun). Nixhikado Soujiro (Matsuda Shota) and Mimasaka Akira (Abe Tsuyoshi) graduated, the campus became a boring place to Tsukushi. Futhermore, her love Domyoji Tsukasa (Matsumoto Jun), who has been to New York for study, has left her for almost one year without any contact for lately half a year.

One day, Tsukushi and her bosom friend Matsuoka Yuki (Nishihara Aki) attend the reunion party of junior high school, where nightmare begins to hover around Tsukushi after she meets with her grade mate's cousin. Oribe Junpei (Ikuta Toma), who is also the Eitoku student. Later, the RED CARD, which normally would no longer appear after Tsukasa left school, is surprisingly attached in Tsukushi's locker once again. It's heard to be done ordered directly by Tsukasa. Pay attention, commoners, HYD is back! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10

Dear oh dear, I thought nothing could top season one of HYD but season two is FANTASTIC. The characters are all really interesting and well developed, some are really being taken far and made unforgettable this season but for anyone to notice that you need a story as good as the story of season one. And you`re getting it! There are so many twists and turns and cliffhangers I can never watch but one episode, I have to keep watching, thus my only complaint is that this heaven of a dorama is over much much too soon! The first episode seemed to be dragging a bit but I see now it was only created that way in order to make us dying for what was going to happen once this second series took flight. It`s funny, exciting, sad, crazy, romantic as can be and absolutely irresistible! I`m kinda late with this but if you, like me, haven`t watched this series you HAVE to ASAP, or you`ll always regret. Okay, back to watching...
