March 29, 2003 wow, sonin has grown up since EE JUMP...
I used to love EE JUMP, I even cut my hair to look like Sonin's TWICE (not because I like her singing so much as I like her hair, haha). When I first heard this song as HEY HEY HEY's ending theme (and they played the good part) I was excited about Sonin having a solo career. But when I first heard this CD, all I could hear was Sonin's annoying/boring/bad voice. The song itself is okay, it gets better as you get further in. But "ai wa motto sou ja nakute" is way more annoying than the first song and will prove to you that sonin needs more vocal training or SOMETHING. Her voice gets unbearable. So I guess the lesson here is don't buy this CD unless you think the cover will make up for the lack of good music (like it did for most of the other reviewers...) Did you find this review helpful? March 29, 2003 Are you ready to make a happy time! ya ya ya GO GOroute ?is made up of Takahashi Marina and Che Suyon and was formed on ASAYAN, known for making morning musume, CHEMISTRY, and Suzuki Ami (among others) the popular bands/singers they are today. route ?is certainly no disappointment. Cute vocals and catchy tunes make this a must-buy single! You may recognize the main track, "wakuwaku It's Love" as one of HEY! HEY! HEY!'s past ending themes. It may be a bit to cute/repetitive for some, it's cuteness and chorus will follow you around all day XD The second song, "GO GO HAPPY!" is almost great as wakuwaku, starting of with a sweet little chorus and going into a short rap with the girls talking about crushes, dating and similar topics. There's more singing as the song goes on. If you like cute music, you simply MUST buy this single. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
March 18, 2003 This is my favorite album! :D
I first heard the brilliant green in the summer of 2002. After hearing ONE song, they became my favorite band. I bought their other albums before this one, thinking that it'd only be 'so-so' because it was their debut. BOY was I wrong. This album is probably my favorite, and not just of TBG. TBG has a knack for writing songs that I'm SURE I've heard a million times on commercials and the radio before, that they're huge hits or classics. This CD is full of those songs.
'I'm In Heaven' is a great way to start off, it makes you excited to hear more. And the next track, 'tsumetai hana' will NOT disappoint you. I don't know how to explain these songs, really, just that you'll like them. The two songs following tsumetai hana are 'You & I' and 'Always And Always'. These songs are pretty okay, both slower (but not slow) love songs. 'Stand by' is just perfect to me. It's cute, happy, and leaves you in a good mood. 'MAGIC PLACE' and 'Baby London Star' are catchy, and all-over good (I skipped '"I"', but that song is kind of boring :p) 'There will be love there-ai no aru basho-' was TBG's 'big break'. It sold millions of copies, and I can see why. It leaves you with a nice feeling, and is fun at karaoke XD 'Rock'n Roll' is one of my favorite songs, because it displays everything I love about Tomoko's voice in such a perfect way. It's reather slow, not something you'd exspect to be called what it is, but the lyrics might make you laugh.
Sorry that I can't explain the songs, haha. But you should buy this album. It's too good not to.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
March 16, 2003 No, no no NO
Oh, my dearest buriguri, what has happened? :( This album is just plain DISAPPOINTING. The singles off it were amazing, and the album itself was REALLY good. But it's just not the brilliant green. One of the reasons Tommy went off to do her solo project was she wanted to do pop, but didn't think it would go over well with TBG's fans. If so, why is TWA so... pop-y? I say buy it if you're a fan, but don't let its sound influence your opinionon TBG if you're hearing them for the first time with this album. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
