EXCELLENT! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I would like to begin my review by saying this singer is amazing and wonderful! The songs are great and her voice is beautiful. I also must say, however, that the production of this CD is not so good. What I mean is...the music totally drowns out the singer on 99% of the songs. And that's a shame. Why cover that perfect voice with too much instrumentalism? The background music should be about 50% of what it is so her voice could shine the way it deserves to. I hope this is merely a production flaw, and the next CD has a better (more typical) balance of vocal to musical composition. Also, something that struck me is how identical KOTOKO sounds to YOZUCA on her CD "Soliel Garden". They sound like the same singer...only KOTOKO is more rock and YOZUCA is more pop. But both have the same awesome voice and ability. If I heard both CDs and didn't know better, I would think it was the same artist singing. Which is a good thing for me, because I like YOZUCA too! This way I have both the rock version and pop version LOL. Seriously, this CD is a delight and I am enjoying it immensely...except, as I pointed out, it can be a bit stressful on most songs to strain to hear the singer over the music. It is my plea that the next CD have more appropriate balance. KOTOKO sings too well to be drowned out by music...even if the music is nice, I really like to hear the voice more. I think anyone would enjoy this CD lyrically and mood-wise. It is very fun and has lots of styles, but mostly heavy on guitar and piano with some unusual sound effects thrown in for variety. Very well compiled. I just REALLY wish (at the rish of repeating myself...) I could hear the singer better over the music. It would make it more relaxing and easier to listen to. I will buy more from this singer though. Despite having to strain to hear her excellent voice, I still think this singer is superb! And anyone else who likes her should buy "Soliel Garden" by YOZUCA here at YESASIA too. They are interchangeable! And both are divine.

I'VE is airborne Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The title "Hane" is the Japanese word for "wing" - and there's no question that "I'VE" member Kotoko has her own wings spread wide on her big label (Geneon) debut. Thankfully, this is a well-crafted and solidly-engineered album that should win her new fans and keep I'VE fans more than satisfied. The clincher is track 8, "Hitorigoto," as soaring a track as any good j-pop number should be. Here's hoping Japan-a-Radio takes serious notice.
