YesAsia Editorial Description
The Happy Ghost series gets an injection of star quality in Happy Ghost 3 as future Cannes Best Actress Award Winner Maggie Cheung joins the cast! In this sequel, she's the ghost, but she isn't very happy. Due to be reincarnated into a child destined to become a top pop idol ("More popular than Teresa Teng!", she's promised), her reincarnation appointment is botched by Raymond Wong Bak Ming, returning as the reincarnated Scholar Pik from Happy Ghost 2. Maggie now has to wait an extra month for her next reincarnation appointment, so she spends the ensuing time torturing Raymond and generally making a mess of the school and his life. The ruckus she raises eventually grows too big, so Raymond must come up with a plan to stop her. And that plan is: date her! More wacky hijinks, spectral shenanigans, and pretty girls (Fennie Yuen and Charine Chan return from Happy Ghost 2) flood the screen in Happy Ghost 3!

A ghost story with a difference
| Another great movie yet released. Maggie Cheung Man Yuk stars as Tsui Pan Han, an unpopular singer who had committed suicide only because of her unpopularity. Tsui Hark, starring as her godfather tells her that she will be more famous than the three great HK celebrities Teresa Tang, Paula Tsui and Anita Mui Yim Fong. In our world, Raymond Wong Bak Ming delays her reincarnation chances twice with peeves her. To teach him a lesson, Maggie plays tricks on him which turn out to cause troubles. She fumbles his super power chances of winning in activities, spoil chances with his girlfriend and possesses the cute Fennie Yuen Kit Ying, my favourite actress and the high school principal. But the possession in Fennie and letting the boy who has a crush on her, a subordinate of Jade night club's leader take her to the club spoils everything which makes the big brother believe that Fennie is a ghost. He kidnaps her for this. On the other hand, will Raymond get to like Maggie after she meets him to thank him for making her song " The Crescent " popular after twenty cold and unknown years and will both of them go to the rescue to Fennie and the boy? Or will Maggie never get a chance to reincarnate again? The time to help Fennie had made it very hopeless for her to reach Sacred Heart Hospital. Find out in this great movie! |

i was too young to know the actors in the movie back then, but then as i grow older and watch more HK movies i grew up with the actors and i was so surprise of everyone's success in their early movies. i loved all the gals in the movie, especially fennie yuen.i just wish the yesasia.com would print the other happy ghost movies. i'm positive that many of us would like to add them into our collections. |

Sweet
| this movie is old, but one of my favorite classical comedies. maggie is so young too! i like all of the happy ghost movies, and like all of them, this one has that comedy to it. it has that sad touch to it also, i mean it is about ghosts, right? it has sadness, romance, dreams, and all those hopeful elements in it. |
