Happy Hour VCD

Benny Chan (Gen-X Cops) directs Happy Hour, a satirical urban comedy that takes a media-driven criminal trial and spins it into unexpected directions! Three close friends (Jordan Chan, Andy Hui, and Julian Cheung) meet a seemingly vivacious, sexy woman one night at a bar, and party with her. The whole group gets drunk, and she seduces each one separately. However, unknown to the guys, she's really distressed, and before they come to, she's attempted suicide! She lives, but when questioned by her family, shame and embarrassment take over. She tearfully claims she was raped, then lapses into a coma. The boys are arrested, the press catches wind of everything, and before you know it, there's a full-fledged media circus going on. On the advice of their respective counsel, each starts to blame the other, and the whole thing gets way, way out of control. Damage gets done to relationships and reputations, but at the very heart of things, the three are still friends. Or are they? Featuring biting media satire, an original story, and a hilarious star performance by Sean Lau Ching-Wan as an oddball defense attorney, Happy Hour is a surprising and unconventional Hong Kong film.
