Two of 1980s Hong Kong Cinema's biggest stars, Kenny Bee and Cherie Chung, light up the screen in this charming romantic comedy from 1989. Not to be confused with Wong Kar Wai's later homosexual drama, this Happy Together is an innocuous yet entertaining bit of fluff about the romantic ups and downs of a go-get-em news reporter and a burgeoning business executive whose dynamite physical chemistry may not be enough to overcome their drastically different personality quirks. Also starring popular eye candy Chingmy Yau (Naked Killer) and Vivian Chow (Kung Fu Scholar), Happy Together offers a little something for everyone.

Whenever newsgirl Cherry (Cherie Chung) and up-and-coming businessman Lum (Kenny Bee) meet, the sparks fly - although they're not always romantic sparks! A drunken night of passion gets things off to a rocky start, followed by a series of disastrous encounters that culminate in an unexpected romance. Cherry moves into Lum's apartment, but the honeymoon is quickly over as the pair discover the extent of their incompatibility. Will love overcome all obstacles? Or will it be the death of Cherry and Lum?
