Not Quite Heaven...Yet
While I don't think this is Harlem's best effort to date, it is a pretty solid album. His voice his amazing (he sounds YEARS younger than how he looks, although that's not meant to be an insult, I simply mean he sounds super young). He sings a lot better than a lot of current artists and when he gets a chance to compose, his songs are great too. He does have a few covers on this album, so that kind of lowered the creativity of it, but overall, it's a good album that I think is worth the money. It's a good get-away from a typical string of ballads as there is a mix of very uniquely-genred songs. |

Nice CD
I really enjoy this album. Some of the keyboard work on the recording is truly lyrical and pretty. I cannot read Mandarin (yet)and there are few English words in the liner notes that could help me translate song titles, performers, songwriters, etc. The album has many elements of western adult pop, some of it rather old-fashioned to the American ear. Egg Fried Rice is a novelty and the kids like it. My favorite track is #18 ( the last track.) My daughter and I know the words and sing along, but we have no idea what we are singing! I wish the lyrics were translated |

Egg Fried Rice rocks my world!
I would buy this album just for "Egg Fried Rice" alone. This kind of rap is simply... unique. Who said that Chinese rap can't sound good? Not only so, Harlem's music has just gotten ever better and more mature =D Trust me, I have every single one of his albums since 1994 =D |
