September 29, 2005 Hooray for J-emoAfter watching three of thier singles in succession on the Toemi Channel, I couldn't help but buy this album. Their musical style parallels the American emo genre, but keeps the guitars fresh, the music clean and not too sappy, and the vocals honest. I loved this album. Loved, loved loved. Especially "reminder", "Sad and Beautiful World", and "Stillness in time". Straightener is a great band and I can't wait to see what they do next.
Fans of Pre-school and the Pillows who also have a secret thing for Dashoboard Confessional will probably like this a lot.
