Pure audio bliss Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
"Harvest Songs" just might be my favorite album by Matsu Takako to date. The album starts with three tracks of quiet J-pop perfection. Miss Matsu then starts taking the album in unusual directions. The fourth number is has a childlike, sing-songy quality. Track 5 features a 1970s-style laid-back R&B feel. The seventh song is a spacey, dreamy number featuring lots of lush echo. Track 8 is a jazzy up-beat tune in which Miss Matsu's voice is double-tracked, but one of the voices is filtered through a vocorder; it gives the song an intriguing quality. The ninth song is a beautifully poignant number; when the harmonium enters in the song's second half, it just about brings you to tears. The album closes with a gorgeously orchestrated ballad. With a wide assortment of rhythms and arrangements, "Harvest Songs" holds the listener's interest throughout. And Miss Matsu's voice is pure, pure, pure. It doesn't get much better than this!

Matsu is so underrated...and so few albums Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
Yesasia needs to restock Matsu's overseas versions, and Matsu needs to release more albums! I bought this album in overseas version at a local music store a while ago, and I think that is very good! Everything, from the booklet, to her voice, to the music, is extremely soothing and sweet sounds for the ear. Matsu's voice is simple, yet difficult for any other artist to attempt. Support Matsu Takako!

Excellent... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I enjoy relaxing music and lovely soprano voices, and Matsu provides both. She is talented and enjoyable. I think this CD is great, even though some of the orchastration sounds a bit dated. She's very good despite that. I plan to order CDs by her in the future and have even gone back and ordered one of her older CDs already.

Very Nice Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Hello:
I have her last CD also and enjoyed watching her in April Story(DVD movie in case you don't know). Her music is slow and quiet, indeed to me it is quite soothing to hear. All of her songs are like this, no hard music here. I recommed it to those with compatible music styles. I mean if you're looking for hard rock or pop she really isn't your style. But if you like tranquil soothing music she's for you.

kudos Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Second offering in a year, Matsu's newest album consists of oda kazumasa's composition, honto no kimochi. Terrific album not to be missed.
