Forest Gump meets Wuxia Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
Not a bad interpretation of Jin Yong's work but unfortunately this was made before Jin Yong's last revision in 2005 where Duan Yu doesn't get Wang Yuyan, who instead goes back to Mad Murong Fu. The 2005 version is a more mature work and is more in line Jin Yong's on beliefs that the things you desire to get don't come easily or even at all.

On to cast perfomance ( in order of merit):

***** Excellent-

Shu Chang as Tianshan Tong Lao an incredibly young and talented actress, you really believe she has an old soul in a young girl's body.

**** Very Good -

Jiang Xin as Mu Wan Qing , the best Mu Wan Qing, you really route for her to end up with Duan Yu (which actually is hinted at in this production)

Hu Jun as Qaio Feng and Liu Tao as Ah Zhu I have the rate this ill fated pair on equal honours, very nearly but not quite as good as Liang Kar Yan (Qaio Feng) and Wong Hang Sau (Ah Zhu) in the 1982 TVB version, if you've seen both versions you'll understand.

Christy Chung as Kang MIn ( Mu Fu Ren) , Evil and seductive

***Average- Every one else except for

** Poor - Liu Yifei as Wang Yuyan, Liu Yifei was only 15 years old when this was made, beautiful but inexperienced at that time, her performance in this is a bit wooden. Don't worry any of you who saw the return of the Condor Heroes will know her acting has improved.

I'd like to rate this production higher but there are better dramas out there. Until then I look forward to when this is remade based on the 2005 revision of Jin Yong's works.

IT 'S A GOOD ONE, LIU YU FEI 'S GREAT.Jimmy lin 's looked like a dork though. Shao Phone 's great . The ending sucks,too. THe other characters did a good job ,too. It 's worth ot buy it.

 It's worth to buy!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
After watching The Condor Heroes with Liu Yi Fei and Heaven Dragon The Eigth Episode, it's a lot better. I think both of the movies have the same director, but if I'm wrong, someone correct me. The movie pretty much follow the book. The only thing that I don't like is the Kung Fu fighting when the director try to freeze the frame like the Matrix, he had overdone them. Beside that, the movie is worth owning if you are a fan of Ying Yong Novel.

everything in this series was great!! xiao feng looked so powerful compared to the others. duan yu and xu zhu looked like total dorks!! and liu yi fei is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo prettyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!

 best Jin Yong adaptation Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
No doubt that by popular vote this is the best version of Tian Long Ba Bu EVER. The director put a lot of emphasis on the flowing of the energy during fighting scenes, rather than just fist fight like those Hong Kong versions. The best characters are the three male leads and Wang Yu Yan. The rest of the cast are great, too. People who think this is bad are probably brainwashed by HK drama.
