I can't believe there isn't a review for this album on here yet! This album is a masterpiece and easily some of the best R&B influenced pop music to be released since Utada Hikaru's Ultra Blue. True, there is more pop on here than her soul and R&B and Hip Hop influences from the past but you can still tell that it's Miliyah. Aside from all of her singles(Why, Destiny, Last Love, Bye Bye, XoXo), which were all very strong, the b-sides are nothing to scoff at either and it's their sheer creativity that really makes this album such great listening. You have songs like Sora(Sky), Baby, I see You Feat. M-Flow(Of VERBAL), which keep to the traditional R&B/Hip Hop sound that Miliyah has been doing since the beginning, and then there are the ballads like Silent Ocean which really bring out Miliyah's beautiful voice. there are also the more upbeat songs on here like Free and BFF. Dont Wanna Let Go is a rock-ish number from her that works really well. Sweet Angel and I Miss you almost reminds me of something Mariah Carey would sing while Endless Love has what seems to be a synthesized organ opeining and closing for it. the title track Heaven is hard to explain but out of all the songs has to be my least favorite, though it's still worth listening to. The album ends with a sweet song that's like a mixture of Sora and Sweet Angel.
The packaging is really nice. From the gorgeous head shot of Miliyah on the cover art, to the booklet which features Miliyah in several creative outfits in what appears to be some kind of Mexican setting. This version doesn't come with the DVD, but all of her PVs are quite good, Particularily the PV for Destiny which features some cool dancing choreography.
Really It's such a good album. Miliyah put so much effort into making it and any fan of J-pop, or R&B influenced pop sounds will really love it. Heaven is a great buy for both new and old fans of Miliyah and I highly recomend it!
