One of the best ballad song released ever... Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
Eventually, Avex Trax is able to produce such a nice and soothing ballad for Ayu after bombardizing fans with up-beat and rockish songs like STEP YOU, is this LOVE?, Fairyland and Alterna. It's such a relief for me to know that Ayu has not lost her magical touch on ballad recalling that she's incredibly famous for singing mind-blowing ballads like SEASONS, RAINBOW, LOVE ~Destiny~, Voyage, and so on. The more you listen to HEAVEN, the more you're craving for it . Its melody is so catchy that it'll stuck in your head once you hear it even for the first time! I would say that it has a slight influence of Japanese traditional sounds in the background music which is of course, adorning this song. To add on, HEAVEN is not the usual type of Ballad that you've been listening to. Why? Because the chorus is in the end of the song. Pretty unique, huh? Next, It seems that Ayu wants to convey to her fans that HEAVEN is not something that has to be luxurious or glamorous; Instead, she applies a simplistic concept for this single depicted in the cover and PV. Talking about the PV, some of the fans might get dissapointed by too-plain-and-too-simple-for-for-The-Queen-of-Jpop idea but if they can just watch the clip more thoroughly, they'll find that it has a very essential message as she's giving her deepest condolence for the victims of the recent London-bombing incident. The second song, 'Will' is more of a reminiscence of Japanese old songs. It's even more 'traditional' than HEAVEN which definitely adds the richness of the variety of Ayu songs that have previously been released. Btw, 'Will' was party composed by CREA which implies Ayu herself (CREA is one of her dog's name ;p) "Lovely", i must say! The rest of the songs are just remixes which i haven't heard at all, honestly. However, i guess the main motivation for purchasing this single is to listen to HEAVEN & Will, rite? Of course, having Alterna's and other song's remixes wouldn't hurt either XP. Last words, HEAVEN is certainly one of the single that's in my must-buy list. Grab it, now!

continues to amaze... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
before the release or leaks about this single i had no idea what kind of song to look forward to. upon listening to the single for the first time, i was glad to hear that she went for a slower tempo that built up. the two main songs [HEAVEN] and [Will] definatley have a more asian feel to them. Even though [HEAVEN] is the theme song for the movie "SHINOBI", [Will] fits it just as well (especially when watching the CM that uses this song, where Ayu depicts a geisha and even speaks the dialect). [HEAVEN] is definatley not your typical 'slow' ayu song, the structure and instruments used do the song much justice w/ the main chorus more than two minutes into the song. Definatley one of her best singles and shouldn`t be missed.

Ayu's Best Single since "&" Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is truly Ayumi Hamasaki's best single since 2003's "&", which featured 3 a-sides and one b-side. 1st of all, the covers for both versions are simple, yet stunning, Just like the song "HEAVEN". The song progresses in a different way which sets itself apart from other Ayumi ballads. The verses come, then a bridge, and the song ends with the chorus. The song is beautiful and its emotionally expressed through Ayu's amazing vocals. The simple yet touching PV also adds to the song. The 2nd track on the single is WILL, a traditional sounding song that is reminiscent of Ayumi's "A Song for XX" album, minus the squeaky vocals. In fact, Ayu's vocals are superb, and smooth and amtch the song very well. You will NOT want to miss this single. It's simple, and beautiful.

Great single... as always... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Ayu keeps surprising me this year! She release really good stuff! Plus the DVDs don't contain only PVs but also bonuses! After hering the full version of HEAVEN and seeing the PV I can see only one thing - I'll never regret buying this single! The song and the PV are so great, so emotional! I really want to see SHINOBI soon! I hope it will be released on DVD! The PV is so simple but so beautiful too! I really cried while watching it! And the preview of "Will" is really promising! And finally - avex didn't add any remixes but some piano and orchestra versions! I'm sure they won't spoil the wonderful feel of the single! A MUST BUY!

Wow. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
There are simply no words for how breathtaking this single is. Ayu's voice is so awesome in "Heaven", there is no way I can describe this. She sings with such emotion you can almost feel it yourself. She is truly the Queen of Jpop and even Jmusic itself. This single is going straight to number one, like the other singles Ayu has put out. This is her best ballad yet and I cannot wait for the album that she'll hopefully put out soon.

The Goddess Of HEAVEN Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I've already seen the cover and read the tracklist. Not to mention seen the trailer for SHINOBI and the CM featuring Will, and I must say that this single's definately not a single bit of dissapointment. Her voice is heavenly, just like her image. It flows perfectly with the wonderful lyrics in both songs. I guess you could say that she's finally gonna show us her home and welcome us in for a snack. All I really know is that I can't wait to own this, and I suggest absolutely everyone else add this to their cart as well.

Another Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
After fairyland and Step you, Heaven is another chart-topper released by Ayumi Hamasaki and it is clearly one of the best ballad she ever released, or maybe the best one. The tune is very impactful and leave the listener overwhelmed with emotions. Furthermore, Ayumi sings with such a powerful voice and brought out the true feel of the song. Althought I do not understand japanese, I can feel the touching element of the song. This is surely one of the best single released by Ayumi Hamasaki and will surely claim the number one spot on the ORICON
