Great buy
| HELLO is one of my favorite tracks from 666. It's both emotional and awesome to listen to. On this single, there is an outtake called THE OTHER SIDE; just as great as HELLO, if not a bit better. If you're a HYDE fan and you liked 666, I suggest you buy this single. |

Really great! Hyde gets better and better!
| If you don't have this single, you're missing out! It's the best single of the summer! After the release of Hyde's beautiful album Roentgen, he decides to return to his rock style. Both songs are great. "Hello" is an up-beat rock song that is impossible to dislike. "The Other Side" is completely in English and Hyde manages to write deep lyrics for this hard rock song. If you are a rock fan or a Hyde fan, I highly reccomend this single to you. It is worth every penny! |

Rock Hyde is back!

After a dose of mellow Hyde with Roentgen, it's back to rock we go! Don't let the icky large font of the single's jacket distract you to think it's a cheesy single, it's definitely not! As the title suggests, "HELLO" and "The Other Side" are the songs that are included on this little single. "HELLO" surely introduces this single with a refreshing start and totally off-guard for people who don't listen to L'Arc~en~Ciel and have only heard Roentgen. This is the Hyde Laruku fans know about! It's rock/pop beat gives this song a really happy-like sound. As soon as Hyde starts the first line, you know it's an awesome song. Singing style is experimented here, more rough and somewhat less appealing (it's a little scratchy) to the normal sound of Laruku, but nonetheless, it just brings out the sound of rock more. The chorus is as catchy as ever, and in the break in the middle of the song, you can just feel yourself getting pumped for more! If "HELLO" wasn't rock enough for listeners, "The Other Side" will definitely rock your soul. An all english song from Hyde, his english lyrics are definitely comparable to his japanese lyrics. As you hear his first line "And the sea/Waits to bring me down", you can actually feel as if he's being dragged down into the sea! The roughness in his voice fits perfectly with this song, especially against the background music. His lyrics of confusion matches his rough voice, and the listener can feel the confusion and frustration during his journey to self-discovery. For those who want rock, "The Other Side" is a must-listen, and for those who prefer a more pop-rock sound, "Hello" is definitely your song. Although "Hello" is the single for this album and gets more attention (being sung on performances and appears with a PV), don't underestimate "The Other Side" because it definitely has got what it takes to be a single and one really wonders if it would really have the attention it deserves. |

Awesome again!!!
| Hyde's first solo album was great, but this 2 song CD is awesome! Both songs (to me) have a L'Arc~en~Ciel touch to it (which is good for all the Laruku fans). Hyde just keeps surprising everyone with his amazing voice and talent. Get this CD, because you'll love both songs and listen to it over and over again (like me). So buy it now, you won't waste money! |
