Like the first film, Her Fatal Ways II is an intelligent comedy that eschews pratfalls and mugging for verbal humor and sly commentary on Hong Kong-Mainland China relations pre-1997. A climactic shootout, and the dependable comedy brilliance of Carol "Dodo" Cheng doesn't hurt, either!
