Aired on October 3, 2009, the Hidarime Tantei EYE drama special stars Hey! Say! JUMP's Yamada Ryosuke (Scrap Teacher) as a junior high school detective with a special eye. Ainosuke receives a cornea transplant in his left eye after his brother (Kanjani8's Yokoyama You, The Quiz Show 2) dies of murky circumstances. After the surgery, Ainosuke sees strange images through his left eye, images that may provide insight into his brother's death. With the help of school nurse Hitomi (Ishihara Satomi, Voice), Ainosuke begins to investigate the case, and stumbles upon a mysterious crime organization with a chilling agenda. The Hidarami Tantei EYE drama special served as a precursor for the regular season of Hidarime Tantei EYE which started airing in January 2010.

This edition comes with a bonus disc.
