Still on quite there yet Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
Although Avex is spending some good money on getting Beni commercials and advertisements, she's still not broken through as an artist. She seemed to be on a roll after her third single, but sales only went down after that and her debut album, 4th single and 5th single have had disappointing sales. This single takes a very different approach with music. In her first 4 singles, Beni really focused on using the strength in her voice to stand out, this time the song is very smooth and soft. The side-affect of that is that the title song is too uninteresting because it's nothing we haven't already heard and it borders towards Avex's mass produced quasi-urban music. It's a real shame because once again we see an Avex artist relying on her beauty rather than her talent, which in Beni's case is a real shame because she's such a good performer.
I'm praying that Beni will at least keep her clothes on regardless of the disappointing sales, I don't want her to turn into the next Koda Kumi or Namie Amuro because that would mean that there's no more Avex artists I like.
"The Power" and "Call Me, Beep Me" were disappointing in my opinion and also way too generic to be considered good. I liked the way they morphed her voice in the beginning of "The Power", but that's about it.
If you've never heard Beni, I suggest getting her "Here alone" or "Harmony" single, because it'll give you a better perspective on her talent.

Great single! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
Beni Arashiro's latest single is one of her best! Her voice improves with each single she releases, and "Hikari no Kazu dake Glamorous" is no exception. The title track is extremely catchy and has a laid back, yet upbeat, summertime feel. Also included is the "The Power" which is a rock track for the NFL (sung in Japanese and some English). The third track is "Call Me, Beep Me" which was originally sung by Christina Milian. The song is the title track for the Disney cartoon, Kim Possible. It's not as good as the other two tracks, but it was worthwhile to include on the CD.
Beni seems to be doing a lot of promotional work for other companies, which really leads me to believe that she'll skyrocket into the kind of stardom that Ayumi Hamasaki and Namie Amuro once had. The title track of this single is the theme song of her campaign for Kose's "Visée" cosmetics. "The Power" is the official themesong for the "NFL Tokyo 2005" preseason match. And obviously, Beni will be singing the themesong for the Japanese version of Disney's Kim Possible.
She has a very full voice that I think will get even better as she continues to work as a recording artist!
