a little over average Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
this cd is ok it has good beats but the lyrics are all so awful for most of the songs. i guess china is not used to this type of music because everybody is saying how it is teen bop and the guy rappin is bad and how the beats are awful. Actualli it has really good beats and the guy rapping is good...the only bad things are some of Jills lyrics and her rapping. And this is not teen bop it is more of hip hop and pop and sum r&b. Overall this cd is good unless u are not use to listening to more westernized music.

Working it. Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
Jill's music style is exactly what the industry needs. But the competition has really heated up. To win over this group of stars she'll need to pull off 6 to 7 "great songs" in her next album. This album is only enough to keep her in the race.

Quite Good ! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I don't know why that people don't really like Jill. They always compared her with her sister, Janice, but I think they both sing good. Maybe Jill is a bit American style & Janice is more Chinese. Still I think they are both good. I think this CD is quite good. Maybe it has a lot of English but it's not bad. I actually like it. But I think Jill needs to sing more in Chinese because not everyone in HK understand English. Some critics thinks this album is a bit disaster because of the songs & lyrics. But this isn't Jill's fault. It's more of the songwriter because they are the one who wrote the songs & just let Jill to sing them. Hopefully my review will help change the people's point of view of Jill because Jill is a really good singer but just need a little bit of improvements. So everyone BUY this album because it's worth the time and money.

Not that bad Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I think a lot of people judge Janice to be better because she came out first and proved her talent. That's fair enough, but I do think the Jill has talent too and it is a good thing that she has gone for a different style. Jill's music is for a slightly different crowd. It might not be great music, but it is ok and not offensive that I'd have to switch the radio off. How boring would it be, if both Janice and Jill dressed the same and produced samey music? Jill's music is catchy and kinda cute. Jill has talent and I am sure they can be developed in time. People need to have a fair mind and Jill deserves our attention. Comparing Janice and Jill is a bit like comparing Michael Jackson with Janet. They're both related, but have different styles. Comparing would be wasting time.

Jill Vidal - Hit Me Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
What more is left to say about this album. There are a lot of people who like this album and some do not. Either way, I really like this album just because it's something you don't hear everyday. If you expect nice ballads and songs with traditional chinese instruments, than this is nothing for you. But if you like fast-paced music with a lot of R&B influences than this is something you might like. It even has some reggaeton influences in track 2 "Mon Saturday". I admit the lyrics in some songs are a little bit silly, but I can laugh about it. Jill is an artist that you don't must take to seriously. I really enjoyed all songs except track 11, "Axel F" which is a cover from the Crazy Frog Song. It's really annoying. Further there are two more covers on this album, "Lonely" which was a song from Nana Abrokwa, but with some lyrics changes and some parts are sung in Cantonese. The last cover on the album is "Wordy Rappinghood" which was a song from new wave band Tom Tom Club, the song is also covered by the (girl)group Chicks On Speed. Overall, the songs are fun but nothing more. It's good for a debut album, but I hope Jill will pay attention to her fans and hopefully listen to what they got to say, because there are a lot of people who aren't satisfied about this album, but don't expect she's going to be more alike her big sister Janice, because they are two different people with two different music styles.

Holy Crap Customer Review Rated Bad 2 - 2 out of 10
I saw her video for "Lonely" today on MTV. Besides that she is decent looking, I have nothing good to say. No originality what so ever. Is she trying to be the Chinese version of BOA? The song reminded me of Kelis's Milkshake. To sum it up, she is what's wrong with Hong Kong music these days. All recycle packaging with no substance.

WHAT IS THIS?! Customer Review Rated Bad 3 - 3 out of 10
GREAT vocals but the songs were terrible! If she wrote the songs it's very disappointing, her sister is definitly better than her. Jill is trying too hard to be mainstream, sometimes it's better to just work with what you have. She just wont hit it big. It's not a good album, not worth it!

2 Excellent Songs...only Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
Jill and Janice...obviously almost identical in terms of appearance and voices, but extremely different in their styles of songs and singing. Surely, Jill can sing -- her voice is strong, emotional, and powerful, just like her sister. However, this album is mainly for people who enjoy rap, rock, or fast songs. The only two songs that are very good are "Get Out", and "Funny Jealousy". No offence...but the rest are just annoying and a disgrace to one's ears. IF ONLY Jill could sing songs like Janice, OR at least slower, HK-type, more romantic songs AND less rap, I'm sure she will be much more popular (i.e., treated like a singer instead of Janice's sister or have more album copies sold). Jill will not make it to the HK pop line as far as her sister, due to her style of songs (Most HK people DON'T like rap, or buy an album with a majority of English songs.). I hope Jill will change her music style in her future albums. Sorry to compare the two sisters, but facts are facts, and we've got to face them.

Kick Ass!!!!! Jill is Sweep!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This album is tight, man!!!!! I am impressed!! Finally, we have some variety in music selection in Hong Kong. With Jill Vidal's lastest album, you can experience a mixture of hip hop +pop music, sung in both Cantonese and English ,I think it is a very good start.......yeah yeah........:) Keep it up !!!!!! We need to broaden the variety of different kind of music in Hong Kong, we are just way behind here.

"Get Out", "Funny Jealousy", "Heartbreaker", "Be a man", etc......Too many good songs to mention.

Want to take a peak at her album and try out the sample listening, check out:
