It's a movie based around Christmas and Santa Clause. Porporro and his friends are really cute, and the graphics are good again. The only diff between this and the other porporro dvd's is that this is a movie, and so it has "bad guys" in it, and they might be scary to your children vs. the other porporro dvd doesn't really have any bad guys in there - ultra g-rated. My 2 year old gets scared in some parts. But overall, I love that little penguin, and my son really loves all the characters. Completely recommend this movie. I'm extremely happy that I bought this one. They sing "We wish you a Merry Christmas too," and they're "La la la" song in there too...good for the kids. Subtitles in english too. Yes, it's a little slow at times, but the son likes it, and it still entertains me now and then. It's not a funny movie; it's more of a pensive, wistful, imaginative drama about a boy coming of age, and going through issues like leaving friends and family behind. December 4, 2005 Cute but short dvd!This dvd is cute. My son liked it, and watched it, loved the clay characters. That said, it's a short movie (only 30 minutes), and it's kind of a sad, reflective, mournful movie with some sad songs, but with a happy ending. They follow that theme of reincarnation, which you'll find in a lot of korean movies. Good for watching a few times, but I would not be able to watch this over and over like the other movies. It's a cute movie; I play it maybe once a month, vs. his other movies like Poporo, Madagascar, Shark Tale, Nemo, etc that we watch over and over. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

Not just for kids!Of all the cartoon movies, this is my all time favorite, above Shark Tale. I have it on the regular english dvd, but this dvd, has both the english, and korean. I wish I could have this one, but I didn't know they were going to come out with this so soon. The movie is HILARIOUS. I mean Chris Rock is unbelievably funny. I have seen this 60 billion times, and I still find myself watching it. They did a superb casting job. Ben Stiller is always funny, but the giraffe played by David Scwhimmer is right on the money! He fits the giraffe perfectly, and will definitely make you laugh. I love how it takes place in NYC, and they mimick the subways, Grand Central station, and etc, to perfection. All the catchy sayings, and you will be mimicking them too. Also, it's not too scary for my 2 year old. The scary parts as in every children's movie, are minimal, and my son loves this one. I'm sure the korean is good too, but you should just buy this since it has options for both korean and english, and this movie is definitely worth it!! Did you find this review helpful? Just watching the arguements between Mr. Incredible and his wife is funny. Know this is suppose to be for kids, but parents will like this also. Son loves this and watches it intently also, but I do not play this too much for him, since there is a lot of action and a bit of yelling going on, and he is only 2. But he likes it. The dvd reminds me of "Boh, Boh, Boh," but Boh Boh Boh was a lot better. The main girl was more pretty and charismatic. I also liked that she wore a costume dress and not just regular clothes with 2 pigtails like the girl in Pat & Mat, and that the main characters in Boh Boh Boh wore more costumes. Has a lot of music in this dvd, but this is a children's dvd. Just korean language, no subtitles, by the way. There are only subtitles when the korean song comes on (subs in korean), which I like. The graphics are awesome, and so clear. He is mesmerized, although sometimes he gets scared, but overall the baby loves this dvd. He does laugh at it sometimes too. I think this is a great dvd pick...I'm really happy with this one. Great stories, lots of talking, english, and korean subtitles. This is a really funny movie. I know yeah, it's about fish, but it's not the same thing as Finding Nemo. Sorry, but I disagree with the other person. Proof that it's a good movie? I have to watch this movie 50 billion times because my son loves it. And yes, I do get tired of watching the same movie, but I've become an expert at these cartoon movies. Shark Tale still makes me laugh, even after I've seen it so many times. Talently written, witty humour, and awesome graphics, or whatever you want to call it.
