Quintessential Frances!

This double cd set is an absolutely essential purchase even if you already have the dvd or vcd of this concert. This is because Worldstar Music has included 2 extra songs on the cd .....Impossible Dream & Thank You For The Music. I have already written for the dvd review how wonderful Frances Yip is in this new year eve's concert. With 2 additional songs here, she is even more wonderful. However I would have loved to see her perform these 2 additional songs on dvd. But I guess that's marketing strategy for you to ensure her fans buy BOTH dvd/vcd & cd. I hope Frances's English albums from the 70s will see the light of day on cd soon. Those recordings are classic stuff. |
