Battle Royale
July 29, 2006 A must-see.This movie is a must-see for everyone. Yes, it is somewhat of a blood-fest because of the killing, but it's more than that. It has a solid storyline, no questions asked. You really get to see the lives of these teens and through what goes on in the battlefield. Alliances are made and friends are betrayed. This movie will make you go through many highs and lows. My Tutor Friend (Hong Kong Version)
June 18, 2006 After watching this movie..My Tutor Friend is a movie pretty much for anyone who likes dysfunctional romantic comedies. I am one of those people.

I love A Midsummer Day's Resonance. Ditto was even better.
I had already watched "My Tutor Friend" and had a liking to Kim Ha Neul so I was definitely ready to watch Ditto. Kim Ha Neul's performance was amazing. She is a played (and looked!) the role of a late 1970's college student so well.
If you're into sad love stories, definately watch Ditto. Ditto is pretty similar to the American classic, "Somewhere in Time", so if you like that movie, I reccommend Ditto for you.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

June 18, 2006 After watching this movie..My friend actually let me borrow Guns & Talks, telling me it was a funny movie. I have to agree.
I didn't expect much from this movie, I expected it to be an action flick, of course, based on the description and the cover. Instead, what I got was something quite different. This movie is masked as an action flick, but if action is what you're looking for, try a different movie. This movie has little action in it, but it has a quite a bit of upbeat, light humor, especially tword the end. This movie also made me fall in love with Won Bin and Shin Hyun Jun, so I will be keeping my eye on them because of this video.
If you already like one of the actors in this movie, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this if I were you. This movie is for anyone wanting a change of pace.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
The Harmonium in My Memory
June 18, 2006 After watching this movie..I have just watched this movie and would like to write a review of it while it is still fresh in my mind.
When I found this movie online, I decided it would be one of the first I would buy because of all the great reviews and a storyline that was quite interesting. What I got from it was only dissappointment.
Unfortunately, this movie was not at all what I expected. The quailty wasn't that good at all, which could be both a bad and a good thing considering this movie is supposed to be based in the 1960s.
The girl who plays Hongyeon, the 17 year old student, I thought was a good actress, but her character was terrible. I expected to see many times when her and Suha (her teacher) were together, as described in the movie's description, but there were barely any times when there was actual contact and discussion between them to make her think he felt the same way about her.
Altogether, this movie is truthfully slow-paced, without much excitement at all. I'd reccommend ONLY seeing this movie if you like one of the actors/actresses, but if not, you will probably end up being dissappointed.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

Upon seeing the cover and her review, I figured it would be a pretty good movie. When I actually started watching it though, it was a lot different than I though it would be. It was pretty dull for the first hour, but after that it turned out to be pretty good. It's a tear-jearker for sure and has a interesting twist that isn't forshadowed at all. I'm thinking about buying this movie myself, but there's others I'd perfer.
