House of Mahjong (Hong Kong Version) VCD

Following last year's undercover action drama Wo Hu, director Marco Mak takes on Hong Kong's favorite gambling pastime for his latest offering, House of Mahjong. Comic standbys Dayo Wong, Sam Lee, and Cheung Tat Ming lead an ensemble cast of familiar names including Candy Lo (Cocktail), Rain Li (On the Edge), Raymond Wong (Color of the Truth), and newcomer Elanne Kong (A Side, B Side, Seaside). Built on amusing small banter, understated hijinks, and flashy mahjong moves, the low-key story unfolds without urgency, capturing a slice of Hong Kong through the quirky characters and the actors' natural chemistry.

Bra salesman Beauty Lam (Dayo Wong), paper offerings maker Prophet (Cheung Tat Ming), goldfish vendor Sam (Sam Lee), and café owners Hung (Candy Lo) and Ling (Elanne Kong) all hold shop in a dinky mall owned by the elderly Chiu (Ha Chun Chau). Every month Beauty and crew shirk rent payment by playing mahjong with Chiu, and winning through cheating. Chiu, happy for the company, turns a blind eye to their blatant cheating, and everyone seems content with the arrangement - except Chiu's son (Raymond Wong). Into this motley mix comes leggy facial salon owner Gigi (Rain Li), who, much to Hung and Ling's consternation, attracts the wandering eyes of Beauty, Sam, and Prophet and creates some strife amongst the buddies. When Chiu's son hires a mahjong master (Matthew Chow) to beat them at their own game, the crew must band together or lose their livelihoods, but they're all too busy fighting over Gigi.

電視整蠱節目主持人 -- 阿芝跟隨攝製隊，走進了破舊不堪的「富貴商場」。阿芝易容四仔售賣員走進商場內，向林仔、算命張進行咸濕指數大測試，林你等人落入整蠱圈套，在誤打誤撞的情況下阿芝身份敗露，各人與攝製隊生碰撞，一輪混亂之後，Jack 認出這名少女原來就是他的中學同學阿芝。阿芝為儲錢到外國讀書，才幹這種差事，等眾力勸下，她決定到商場開舖。

周師傅找出多年前趙富豪與亡妻的合照，續說出必先令阿芝討得趙富豪歡心，才有機會令阿芝留下來開舖。原來趙富豪早年喪妻，獨生子——趙新貴自小已到外國留學，雖腰纏萬貫卻是一名獨居老人，閒來喜打台灣麻將渡日，卻因開始年時已高，打得太慢，而苦無對手，現找來一眾舊街坊，一解「雀穩」之苦。

阿芝努力學習台灣麻雀，並各出奇謀，最後討得老趙歡心。老趙對新的「雀友」當然卻之不恭，可是老趙的兒子趙新貴來說，這一班所謂舊街坊，只是「又食又拎」的老千。

趙新貴決定親自到商場了解情況，結果敗興而歸、遍體鱗傷收場。趙新貴深深不忿，開始計劃他的逼遷大計。

Popular TV actor and stand up comedian DAYO WOGN stars in this amusing comedy as Lam, a salesperson of a bra shop at the Wealth Plaza, whose owner Chiu prefers his tenants to play Mahjong with him once a month as substitute for rent. Chiu's son, however, feels that the merchants are swindling his father and decides to evict all of them out. This leads to an ultimate mahjong tournament between the plaza tenants led by Lam, and a mahjong master hired by Chiu's son to ensure victory.
