I like Hwanhee a lot and he is one of my favorite singers. From this CD, he has shown that he has wide vocal range when he sings ballads (track 5) and r&b as in Everyday. His voice can be soulful and powerful depending on the genre. He has excellent singing skills, and great emotional interpretations for his ballads and r&b, and his voice is very powerful. Right now, he has diversified into electronica dance songs that should be easy for him. What I don't get is why are there all those unattractive chorus interceding in his wonderful ballads in Tracks 3 and 5. In my opinion, there are no better examples to show how excellent ballads can be ruined. Why hasn't Hwanhee be allowed to show what a phenomenal singer he is by singing solo in his ballads? That being said, please get this CD to support Hwanhee because he is worth it. Besides, you might not agree with my opinion on the ballads! I want to mention that the music pamphlet looks nice with a lot of brownish color photos. I've also bought Hwanhee's poster which is still in the mail. Hwanhee Hwaiting! :) |

Hwanhee stronger than ever

I HIGHLY recommend this mini album. Though Fly to the Sky is officially over, now we can hear the duo separately in their personal musically elements. Hwanhee has come out first with a bang. Shimjangeul Nojyeoseo 'Because I Missed Your Heart' is the comeback single and the performance of this is amazing. Hwanhee shows off some amazing dance skills (his backup dancers, both male and female, are amazing). This mini album is seriously no joke folks. The vocal work is amazing and very strong in every track. 'H Soul' is the excellent term for this CD. Fly to the Sky is known for their amazing ballads, but Hwanhee shows more of a dance/R&B/techno mix side in some of the tracks Bring It Back has to be my favorite track. This is pure R&B goodness folks (it's the song played at the end of the 'Because I Missed Your Heart' music video.) This song has Hwanhee written all over it. This really sounds like his overall style and I can't wait to see him perform this. Neujeun Gobaek is a ballad that starts off really slow and makes you think it will boring. However, keep listening because once the chorus hits, it becomes so soulful. Hwanhee really has a sort of soft passion in this song and I love the gospel feel very much. Getting Down is a daring techno track that I cannot stop taking off repeat. The mix of piano echos, synthesizers, and backing digitalized vocals go so well together. Nae Ibyeolui Shinganeun Geokkuro Ganda is a ballad track that is very strong. It has nice acoustics and also adds in a choir. Out of the ballad tracks, this one is my favorite. Especially at the end when Hwanhee improvises his vocals with the chorus singing. Everyday is the a slow R&B track that is a nice way to end the album. Its feels uplifting. ^^ Overall, I love seeing more of this side to Hwanhee and I'm anticipating if Brian will do the same with a solo album. ^_^ I give this album a 10/10! |

It's good..!!

It's really a good album.. I always love R&B feel song, and this album is no exception. Quite different from original Fly to the Sky previous album, but this is great too. For anyone that love R&B and quite techno beats, you will surely love this album. First track has techno feeling on it, but you will find quite obsessed with the song...LOL. Hwanhee did not forget ballad song either, the album have no. 3 and no. 5 that for any ballad song lovers will love it a lot. Overall, it's quite different with Fly to the Sky songs, but Hwanhee's song is really something that you will love too. It's fun to hear this while riding a car, or even at home at night. Two thumbs !!! |
