Fantastic! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
There are many fantastic songs on this CD with great original melodies. My favorite tracks are "Evolution", "M", "Dearest", "Never Ever", "Unite!" and "Connected". I however was a bit dissapointed that "Endless Sorrow" was put together on the same track with another great song, forcing you to wait or fast forward for the other song to begin.

Perfect, But... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
It's only #2 on my list of Ayu albums. I eagerly anticipated listening to the whole album because of everyone's high reviews of it, saying that it's her best and all that. The first track ("I am...") wasn't the perfect beginning song (it should have been in the middle of the album), but it was still a good song. UNITE! wasn't what I expected...I expected something extremely upbeat, still good. Evolution is my favorite Ayu song, always has been from the first day I heard it long long ago. Naturally, NEVER EVER, and still alone are great. Daybreak was good, but somehow the vocals in the first couple of verses didn't quite match the music... I LOVE M. A Song is born is wonderful. Dearest and no more words happened to be the first two Ayu songs I heard (well, duh, they were 'Inuyasha' themes), so they have a special place in my heart. The remix of Endless sorrow is much better than the original, I must admit. Overall, the only weak tracks are I am... and Daybreak, but they don't affect the perfection of the album. This is the album to get after you get "Duty."

AYU AYU AYU AYU Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10

So wonderful album with great songs and my favourite is M. The lyrics are great and some songs are slow and some are fast. So great with a new version of Endless Sorrow and a bonus hidden song. As always Ayu makes the best music and lyrics and almost always the remixes are great and worth having. Buy it now and enjoy Ayu again.

She is... the queen Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is Ayumi's fourth full-length album, and it blows the socks off of anything she did before. Trust me, from beginning to end, 'I Am...' is an epic adventure that will have you begging for more of the same. The album opens up with the very emotional title track, which has a very earthy feel. "Connected" is a well-crafted trance track (though I'm not a big fan of trance), followed by another great one, "UNITE!" More rock-oriented sounds are apparent in tracks like "evolution", "NEVER EVER", "still alone", and the hidden track "flower garden". Of course, there are a number of beautiful ballads as well, like "a song is born", a remixed version of "Endless sorrow", and the fan favorite "M". This album is so great, each song has the potential to become your favorite song. I would easily consider this Ayumi's best album to date. Also, if you have a few extra bucks, I'd suggest purchasing the A Clips Vol. 2 DVD, which contains most of the PVs she released in conjunction with the singles on 'I Am..."

BEST! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Many say that this is the best of Ayumi Hamasaki! It contains all the great great singles - "M", "evolution", "NEVER EVER", remixed version of "Endless sorrow", "UNITE!" and "Dearest". It also has many other tracks that will take to to Ayu-paradise! "Naturally" is a cool pop song, "Connected" is a wonderful trance track, the title track "I am..." is a really emotional song. The album contains also a solo version of Ayu&KEIKO single "a song is born" and a main theme of "Inuyasha The 1st movie" - "no more words". No one should miss this great album!

Hit Parade! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This album is very, very good, perhaps her best ever. It cotains huge hits like "M", "evolution" and "Dearest". She somposed at lot of the tracks herself, making this one of her most personal albums. The album has two "sections" one containing up-beat, dance tracks, many of them with a rock-like edge. The other section contains beautiful ballad tracks, except for the final hidden track "flower garden". The overall impression after listening to it compared to her pre-releases, is that "I am..." has a more edgy feel, more influenced by rock. This makes I am... a bit more emotional and dramatic.

This isen't just something for fans of Ayumi hamasaki , this is a j-pop experience for everyone. I am... is a classic. It contains more hits than most albums ever made, it contains themes from dramas, animés and commercials, there's hardly a song not to like. Get this Hit Parade Now!

Refreshing Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
First of all, I have to say that her 'fresh' image from "I am..." is my favorite. I do not love this album, but I do admit that it's a breakthrough for Ayu, writing many of the songs as CREA. My favorite tracks are 1,3,4,6,9,11,13. The bad thing is that a lot of the songs in the middle sound quite familiar...and repetitive...so I like the first few songs and the ends better. If you bought MY STORY and liked it, then you should buy this one, because it's mostly rock (which I don't like, but hey it's Ayu!).

Very good Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
This is the first Ayumi album I have listened to- I bought this, Rainbow, and Memorial Address all at the same time, and while it's not my ultimate favorite out of those 3, it's still a really fun, danceable, wonderful cd. It has what the other 2 don't have, though I can't put my finger on it.
