寺山修司や澁澤瀧彦の影響を感じさせるその文学性と、学ランや包帯といったアングラでおどろおどろしい扮装で"異形系"と呼ばれるバンドたち。その活動は、インディーズシーンの歴史において無視出来ない存在である。本作はそうした、犬神サーカス団、陰陽座、グルグル映畫館といったバンドが一堂に介したイベント「異形の宴」の模様を収録。2000年8月にCDとしてリリースされているが、本作はその独特のヴィジュアルも堪能出来る映像版となっている。
