Paying homage to Leslie Cheung's final movie Inner Senses, Mainland thriller Illusion Apartment stars gorgeous Taiwan model-turned-actress Stephanie Hsiao, Hong Kong actor Eddie Cheung, Mainland idol Ma Tianyu, and Mongolian singer Amguulan in a suspenseful Hitchcockian mystery. Helmed by Golden Horse-winning veteran film editor Chiang Kuo Chuan (Jeff Lau's Thunder Cops), the stylish thriller ditches the typical gore and blood in favor of a gradual buildup of tension, and it was selected to screen at the 2010 Shanghai International Film Festival. In the film, Stephanie Hsiao plays the famous mystery writer Meizi, who lives with her entrepreneur husband (Eddie Cheung) in a large apartment. Their only son died prematurely half a year ago, and she has yet to come to terms with the tragedy. Tormented by strange happenings and apparently spiritual entities, Meizi turns to her friend Meng Yifan (Ma Tianyu) for help, who gets himself in trouble also. Meanwhile, a pair of twin sisters comes missing inside the apartment...
