Excellent! 9/10 Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Wow! I just watched this movie last night and what a surprise! To me, the director has made a great social commentary on the psychological impaired that society and families want to ignored, cast away or sweep under the rug. However, they are also deserved to love and be loved. There are other issues and virtues that are touched upon in the movie. You might find the movie is illogical and the characters are coming out of no where, but watch it! Be warn that you have to be sympathetic in order to accept the some of the slightly uncomfortable scenes in the movie.

This movie is surreal and defines logic. There are some really pretty, sad and daunting scenes, and episodes reaping from children's books. The final scene is the prettiest with a rain bow above a canyon. I think this movie is tragic if you follow the impending outcome, but if the director applies his own laws of physics, then the end is beautiful, otherwise, it is just hope as life goes on.

I love Rain and I'm his fan. He is a great actor! Watch this film! I's highly recommended! :)

definitely a rubbish film Customer Review Rated Bad 0 - 0 out of 10
Rain Rain Rain, what on earth were you doing? I am surprised Rain wanted to take part in such a bizarre movie. I bet not only viewers but actors and actresses, director and producer, even the writter are all totally confused...and all those absolutely unnecessary violence...not worth a penny.

Best film ever Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is the best film I have ever seen! It's visually stunning and the plot is imaginative. It made me want to run away with Lim Soo Jung into her world and get lost forever.
It made me laugh but it also made me sad. Especially when Jung Ji Hoons tells his story and how he feels. The way he cares for Lim Soo jung is touching. They have a sweet childlike love that's fascinating to watch.
I'd definitely recommend this film to anyone with a good imagination that appreciates art. Well worth the money.

Love among the ruins Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
For most of "I'm a Cyborg", I watched, slack-jawed but mildly amused, waiting for this movie to make some kind of sense. By the end, I was moved almost to tears. "I'm a Cyborg" ends up being a profoundly moving story about two broken people finding a kind of childlike love for each other, as one mental patient (Jung Ji Hoon) reaches out to save another mental patient (Lim Soo Jung) from her self-destructive delusions.

Both Rain and Miss Lim deliver startlingly fresh and believable performances. Director Park San Wook performs a kins of magic to pull such a touching story from this bizarre setting. With such entirely different films under his belt as "JSA", "Oldboy", and "I'm a Cyborg", I can't wait to see his next concoction.

I recommend "I'm a Cyborg" very, very highly, but I caution you that you must stick with this movie -- it isn't until the final reel that this film brings everything together for its entirely satisfying conclusion.

Loved this movie! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I absolutely loved this movie. It's not your typical love/action movie. I really enjoyed the creativity and imagination this film offers. It is a little silly and goofy but in a comedy sense that tends to lure the audience into another world. I applause the director/producer for an awesome and well done peice of work! I've watched this movie 2x already wouldn't mind watching it again! It's a must see! ***

it's a dark comedy Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
After the first time I watched it, I didn't now what to think of it, except it was a nicely shot visual film. Few weeks later, I watched it again last night, and I have to say it grew on me.
Many movies are not supposed to make sense, in this case, i was glad that I was in it for a ride. Through their many emotions, I felt that i was there to share, to experience and to leave a space for my own imaginations. How wonderful is that?
worth to own this dvd.

Soo Jung is a Cyborg Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Title for Rain: Who'll Love A-lad-in-rain?

Would if be right to say that Soo Jung Lim's granny's teeth, because SY played a cyborg, were electric teeth? Any body's guess, I suppose.

I don't think I could be sure on a single viewing of PCW's film if I liked it or not. Although I'm sure there is a reason to why Soo Jung and Rain's characters ended up institutionalized, it could take another viewing to be sure. Maybe. Certainly the film is excellently made. Set designs and editing are mesmerizing (loved the way the intro titling blended into the scenery) and the playfully warped CGI effects are oddly interesting. The whole film is richly made. In a way this film is almost like an extension of the prison scenes in "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance", but with more crazy people and insanity. Its opener was interesting and somewhat Fritz Lang's "Metropolis" by the rows of people making electronic devices for mass output. This was all in the cyborg aspect of Soo Jung's mindset, a regular feature you get throughout the film. Soo Jung is just brilliant in this and no doubt an actress on the forefront of Korean cinema in the future. Her character's 'rational' of dealing with her type of 'seven deadly sins', a sort of systematic self protection code from her effected mind set to her reaction of her grandmother being institutionalized, is talented acting. Rain was good as the personality stealer, but to pick a mainstream singer/actor like him from romance drama is unusual. He has added another string to his bow, though, and at this rate quite a eclectic one. Mind you, I cannot help thinking that if he 'stole' one of the normal people's personalities (a carer for instance) he could have got out of the place. Although, don't take that too seriously.

"I'm a Cyborg, But That;s Okay" content, though, is not made with 'main stream audience' on the tin. It is a film that is required viewing and considering that a whole percentage is set in a mental institute, it will certainly alienate a large amount of film audience. I can well understand why Rain loving fans could find this film all rather odd. The whole film displays the distorted human condition of what mental illness is and the added fact that most of this film is from the ill patient's point of view than a contrasting normality observation, say of the carers in charge of the them, trying to make sense of all of this is going to be difficult. As for the romance factor? Well, Rain does become eventually aware that the 'Cyborg Girl' may need some help in eating, due to her refusing to eat after family trauma. Rain, here, helps her try to get her to eat rice, as Soo Jung's 'energy' is supplied by her licking batteries and sartorially imagining the energy entering her body, so Rain's character concocts a means of transferring food energy into battery energy. This emotive side of the film could be the part that is more appreciated by a vaster audience - more emotional concern - although don't expect a 'normal' solution of how Rain accomplishes this exactly. And there is a kissing scene (pwphtt!) but again its all very oddball lunacy by the CGI visuals and crazy imaginings of Soo Jung's emotions. At one point there is also a carnage scene which could be more related to the other movies of PWC. But could be uncomfortable viewing at present. Overall, a difficult film to recommend, but certainly different and well made and Soo Jung......she is just fab!

Cyborg Customer Review Rated Bad 2 - 2 out of 10
A really weird movie - doesn't really make sense. I didn't find it to be a comedy or even romantic in the slightest. For die hard Rain fans only, otherwise don't waste 2 hours watching it.
