MAGNFICIENT!!!
| Ever since I rocked The Brilliant Green's self-titled album in my stereo, I was mesmorized by the solid bass-lines, catchy guitar melodies, and that sexy-cool voice that is Tommy Kawase. What I love most about this band is their ballades because I don't care who you are, their stuff just sounds right, and on this new single they just released some weeks ago, that second track, "I'm Jus Lovin' You", is the most perfect example of what I mean. I mean, I could go on and be like, "Wow, the chorus is amazing", "These lyrics are incredible", "Is this what Heaven sounds like?", but no, I'm not like that. Yea, I do believe the title track is off the METER and everything, but the second song makes me smile like an idiot and stop everything I'm doing for at least four minutes because to be honest, this song is really, really cute and romantic at the same time too. See, I'm a big Mos Def, Kweli, Mountain Brothers, J-5, and ATCQ type of hiphop head, but beautiful music like this simply just can't be ignored, no matter what the genre it is or who you are. Oh yea, and that whole second track is in English just in case you're thinking of having trouble understanding it, so there's no reason not to check it out at all; The Brilliant Green is one of those bands that are simply emmitting originality and such a unique style that it's hard to try to ignore them or easily dismiss them. And there's only so much I can say to try to let you know that you won't be dissapointed. Words can't express how awesome just twenty, thirty seconds of their sound feels like. If you haven't done it yet, go buy this single, or better yet, just save your yen or dollars and wait until December 4th (my birthday! yay!!!) when The Brilliant Green releases "The Winter Album", which contains the "Album" versions of the first two tracks on the "I'm So Sorry Baby" cd single. I don't know how those mixes sound, but I guess if you want to play it safe, then get this single. Alright, it's up to you: If you want to experiment on a brand new sound that I'm pretty sure you'll fall in love with, or you just want some of the best J-rock music ever... then buy this cd and/or check out their other albums, especially the first one, "The Brilliant Green" while you still can, and enjoy their music. It's worth it. |

I LOVE THIS SONG!!!
| This song is so cool and the video is too! The video has a Halloween theme and everyone should see it! I like this song a lot better then Rainy Days Never Stays because that was too much pop... This isn't as good as their harder rock songs from Los Angeles or Forever to Me, and it isn't as good as Terra 2001, but it sounds like Terra 2001. Bottom line it's just awesome to have the Brilliant Green making music again and I bought TWO copies!!! |
