在錢灃、和坤到雲南視察時，和坤游樂收賄，錢灃卻對李侍堯產生了懷疑。透過種種跡象表明雲南銅案的背後隱藏得更大的黑幕。錢灃為了查清李侍堯案而抗旨拒婚，他細心追查，抽絲剝繭，查明李侍堯私自將官銅賣與外邦謀取暴利，並且為了掩蓋案情殺人滅口等一系列罪行。錢灃奉旨押解李侍堯京候審，至此，雲南銅案，大白天下。
In the heyday of Qing Dynasty, a big strike happened in a mine in Yunnan province wouth China. Minister Qian recommended Li to investigate the case. Li boldly executed the corrupted directors in Yunnan and put off the turbulence. Li was awarded by the emperor as the No.1 Envoy, while only Qian began to suspect the fact. He refused the marriage endowed by the emperor and went to Yunnan to detect the case personally. A more terrible secret was revealed. Li was committing smuggling with overseas groups and killed all the persons who knew his misdeed. It was Qian himself who captured Li and sent him back to the imperial court under chain.
