I guess as many have said...the album reflects how Kary is [in control]. You can clearly see that she inputted a lot of effort into this album. There's basically something for everyone in this album. I'll say it's kind of a bit of a disappointment, since her first album was so strong. She moved from slight rock-ish songs back to pop. I really like her voice, but sadly, not all the songs on this album can bring that across to the listener. Goods & Bads Track 1: fun, bouncy song...like Justin's harmony, but just a bit too high for Kary, don't know whether she should have picked this particular song. Track 3: slow song, a bit too slow for me. Lack a climax. Track 4: techno./disco/dance song or whatever you want to call it...a track that's really different from the rest of the album..glad to see her exploring I prefer Track 12 more than the Cantonese version, manderin flows and fits better with this song. I like all the fast/beaty songs on this album just 'cause they're more suitable for her voice. Track 6: has a simple melody, easy to sing, easy to remember...but not necessary better than 台北四天三夜 Track 11: good song, an attempt to create another hit...but don't think it'll be as popular as 愛你變成恨你 My top 3 picks: Track 2, 9, 12 This album definitely does NOT deserve a fail, comes short from a perfect...but sitting comfortably at 7.5...I really recommend people that haven't bought this album to purchase it. I really hope that her upcoming album would be more rock. |
