Not what I expected...

I bought this CD after buying the newer 5 song CD "Present". I was expecting to hear what I heard on "Present...and did not. This is totally different. Far more English and far more juvenile. It's hard to believe it's the same artist. "Present" is a spectactular CD with flawless perfection, and this CD lacks some of it's polish. Perhaps since "Present" IS the newest release, it means this artist has grown and the NEXT CD I buy by her will resemble "Present" more than this. This CD just has too much English and isn't as refined as her other CD. Her voice is still fabulous and I love her attitude and presentation. She's a talented singer with a super high voice that manages to not ever shriek or sound piercing. But musically, even though it only has 5 songs on it, I have to honestly recommend "Present" 100% over this. This is OK, but I doubt I will keep it right by my CD player as I do with "Present". Still, I love this singer and I am not sad I bought this, because it's in support of her. I just think the average person would MUCH prefer "Present" to this. |
