Gemini (Japan Version)
May 8, 2007 Fantastic, chill stuffThis is such a beautiful album. It's a shame I haven't been able to find more from her...
If you like artists like Bonnie Pink, KOKIA, or Chihiro Onitsuka, definitely check Shiratori Maika out. She really does a beatiful job with the acoustic-pop routine, and her music is poignant, doesn't get old. She is quite a competent vocalist, and her clear, strong voice carries her songs through. Definitely a favorite album of mine - the song Rain is... touching.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

November 8, 2006 ...Well.I really liked this album; it was catchy, it was fluffy, it was fun. I think one reviewer said it could use more different beats though, and I agree with them. I *think* it was produced by Taku of m-flo, so if you're wondering what it sounds like... *eyeroll* think m-flo. Because of that it can get pretty repetetive, but it's fun, and Emi Hinouchi is certainly capable, vocally. She can pull it off. So if this kind of m-flo hip-pop is what you're after, pick this one up for sure. Otherwise... you probably have other albums you can throw away your hard-earned cash on. ^.~ I certainly hope that Emi will release another album in the future, but I also hope that it will have a little more variety and be a tad more original. (I hear she's doing back up vocals for Heartdales now... that makes me want to cry.) Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
